I grew up in a bit of a real estate family in Western New York. My grandfather was the assessor for Town of Kiantone just south of Jamestown. An uncle was a developer and a few aunts an uncle were agents both there and in Berkeley, California. Later my mother was licensed as well. Having grown up in this I developed a passion for the industry and wanted to be a part as well. Knowing that most agents get their license by taking 2 classes passing 2 test I wanted more to better serve my clients. This led me to attend Clarion University, now part of Pennsylvania Western University to get a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in both real estate finance. After graduating in 2006 I moved to the growing area that is Cranberry twp. to start my career. In 2007 I was Rookie of the Year for Coldwell Banker Pittsburgh and have been a top agent in the area since. Through the years I became close to my now business partner, Georgie Smigel. She became my "real estate mom." After years of discussing, in 2016 Georgie I partnered and started The Georgie Smigel Group to better serve our client and assist our group's agents develop their business as well. Since then, we have been Pittsburgh's top real estate team.

Outside of real estate, I married my wife Niki Ohlsson in 2016 who I met when I sold her a townhouse. (Yes, real estate has honestly changed my life! hahaha) We were blessed with our daughter, Lana in February 2020. Yes, right before the pandemic shut everything down. This gave me the incredible opportunity to be home with my wife and daughter for the first 3 months... an opportunity I cannot imagine I would have had any other way. I am car/motorcycle/anything with wheels enthusiast! In my limited spare time I have been able to rebuild a few cars including a 1997 Dodge Viper GTS.(as a child of the 80's 90's this was THE poster on my wall!!!)
